The Argentine Building Workers Union [UOCRA] and the Argentinean Chamber of the Building Industry [CAC] have reached a joint agreement which represents a pay raise of 19.5% for the builder workers.

UOCRA´s General Secretary, Gerardo Martinez and CAC´s president Carlos Wagner, entered into a pay raise agreement for the building industry during an act carried out at the Government House with the presence of Mrs. President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and Minister of Labour and National Social Security, Dr Carlos Tomada

The agreed pay raise of 19.5%, which will benefit more than 500,000 workers, will be provided in three step installments to which will be added a non-remunerative lump sum of 250 pesos.
