Gerardo Martinez, UOCRA´s General Secretary, met with representatives of ILO delegation headed by its Director of Communications Ms Zohreh Tabatabai at the Union headquarters.

Martinez, as Titular Member of the (ILO) International Labour Organization’s Governing Body and in representation of workers, was interviewed by the Director in order to obtain his opinion and exchange information related to highly important issues for the ILO such as the National Plan of Action for Decent Work and Argentina’s Project Youth (PREJAL) and Area

The member of the International Labour Organization Regional Office, Karen Naets Sekiguchi (ILO Geneva) and Cristina Borrajo, Marcela Kebleris and Antonio Estevez, were present at the meeting.

Gerardo Martinez provided his view on the importance and commitment workers assumed as regards the measures which drive toward consolidation of the concept of decent work in the region, besides, he claimed for social actor’s participation and engagement with this issue and the importance of the tripartite social dialogue as a key to success in any in labour relations initiative.
