Joint Sessions 2009 New Salary scales for Building workers. UOCRA agreed a 15% salary raise.
The Argentine Building Workers Union (UOCRA) agreed a 15% salary raise for the Building Workers from June and a non-remunerative lump sum during May 2009 with the management sector.
The salary raise, which benefits more than 350 thousand Building Workers around Argentina, will be implemented as follows:
Nine percent (9%) on governing salaries as of 30 April 2009, will be implemented from 1 June; six percent (6%) on September salaries, being implemented from 1 October 2009.
On the other hand, our Building Workers will be paid a non-remunerative lump sum of One Hundred and Eighty Pesos ($180) applicable to all A Zone categories; Two Hundred Pesos ($200) to all B Zone categories and Two Hundred and Fifty Pesos ($250) to the other Zone categories, those established in the Work Collective Bargaining Number 76/75; and Two Hundred Pesos ($200) to all the categories established in the Collective Bargaining Number 227/93 “Telephone Engineering Works” branch. Such sum will be paid with the second fortnight salary of May 2009 and social security withholdings and contributions, except for Health Insurance and Union Dues, will not be deducted.
