On Tuesday May 12, Uocra General Secretary Gerardo Alberto Martinez, Members of the Executive Board and Delegations from Capital Federal and Great Buenos Aires met at UOCRA’s Sports Field. During the meeting, celebrated under the motto "An achievement that adds life to your life", the body of delegates personally acknowledged their leader’s contribution to the sanction and enforcement of the “Early Retirement Act Number 26,494 for Building Workers”.

Gerardo Martinez emphasized that nothing that was achieved would have been possible without the ongoing commitment and supportive attitude of the delegates and building workers, which was a true force that nourished and motivated the union's actions. In addition, he highlighted that beyond those who were the leaders, the strength of the organization and its achievements are obtained due to an active and democratic trade union that leads and conveys those rights that, as the present Act, dignify and acknowledge the effort of the building worker.
This celebration is multiplied throughout the country together with the four hundred thousand building workers who are going to benefit from this Act and for the future generations that will be proud of being a building worker. These words were broadly applauded with standing ovation by the attendants who shared the celebration of an historical achievement for the building workers.
