GERARDO MARTINEZ HOSTED FRANÇOIS    DUBET WHO SPOKE AT THE GENERAL CONFEDERATION OF LABOUR [CGT]

Gerardo Martinez, Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Republic of Argentina CGT, hosted the conference offered by the renowned and prestigious French sociologist, François Dubet, professor at the University of Bordeaux and investigator at the Center of Sociological Analysis and Intervention [CADIS] of the High Studies School on Social Sciences of Paris [EHESS] at the Workers Union venue.

Dubet, present in Argentina through the Center of Argentine-French High Studies of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), developed a conference called Teaching: From Vocation to Work. The thematic closely connected to the field of the applied education to the training and labor qualification, caused a great call that overwhelmed the facilities of the Hall Felipe Vallese at CGT.

Fortunato Mallimaci, Director of the Center of Argentine-French High Studies of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA); Alberto Sileoni, National Secretary of Education; Mario Oporto, Head of the Directorate General of Culture and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires and Roberto Palma, Director of the Provincial Pedagogical University participated in the dissertation, in addition to Gerardo Martinez who was in charge of the opening and closing speeches.

François Dubet is author of a prolific work related to labor educational thematic, social movements, urban problems and sociological theory, among which the most remarkable are: Sociology of Experience (1994), the School of the Opportunities (2005) and the Decline of the Institution: Professions, Subjects and Individuals in Modernity (2006).
