UNIÓN OBRERA DE LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE LA REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA

UOCRA General Secretary Gerardo Martinez, together with Diego Bossio head of the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) opened a self-service terminal named Punto de Enlace at the Trade Union headquarters, in addition to the existing Local Unit of Temporary Service (ULAT) – UOCRA – ANSES in order to work jointly for more efficient and faster retirement procedures and free of charge for the building workers within the scope of the Early Retirement Act 26,494 for the Building Worker at 55 years old.

The new terminal was set to work in the presence of ANSES authorities, members of the Trade Union National Secretariat, representatives of the Ibero-American Organization for Social Security (OISS) and court officers. The terminal of cutting edge technology offers a touch-screen display computer where users may access ANSES web page for free and make consultation procedures.

Punto de Enlace adds another tool to ULTA- UOCRA in order to make retirement procedures easier for building workers, within the framework of UOCRA Act, by means of which 40 workers have already obtained the benefit, and there are over one hundred pending files at ANSES besides other 400 registered through ULAT in the last two months.

Such initiative tries to ensure social safety to our workers and finds ANSES and UOCRA working together for social inclusion and decent work.
