The Labour identification Number [Spanish acronym CUIL], is the number given to the ones who start a labour- management relation or arrange for any Social Security service.
The CUIL number is essential so as the employer informs the contributions to the Federal Administration of Public Revenue [Spanish acronym AFIP]. Thus, the worker can get the Social Security benefit and deal with any proceedings at ANSeS or the one which requires it.
You can get the CUIL personally at any ANSeS office. You will be asked for:
>> For Argentineans or foreigners with permanent residence in the country: DNI, LC or LE [national identity documents]
>> For foreigners with or without permanent residence in the country: Document that proves identity plus a photocopy of the certificate granted by National Directorate of Migration and Population [Spanish acronym DNPyM] or the Entrance Permit granted by the Consulate or International Agreements, for those foreigners who do not have any Argentine identity documents.
