The law in force requires workers to have a minimum contribution to be entitled to apply for disability retirement or pension in case of death. According to the number of contributions workers have, there are different categories:

>> REGULAR CONTRIBUTOR WITH RIGHT:

It is the worker who has contributed for 30 months within the last 3 years before his death or submitted an application for disability retirement.

It is also a regular contributor, the worker who proves 30 years on active duty and contributions

>> IRREGULAR CONTRIBUTOR WITH RIGHT:

It is the worker who has contributed for 18 months within the last 3 years. This contributor is entitled to disability retirement and his family to pension, but the amount of the benefit will be lower.

It is also an irregular contributor with right, the one who proves the 50% of the required contributions to get the ordinary retirement, only if the worker has contributed for 12 months within the last 5 years before his death or submitted an application for disability retirement.
